NHS 70th Birthday
Went to have my eye checked at Lakeland Optical as I had an issue. Lisa the optician was so thorough and suspected I had a superior retinal tear and vitreous haemorrhage so she immediately referred me to Furness General Hospital. It was after 5pm but the consultant was waiting for me. He looked at it and said I need treatment immediately. Without delay he administered laser surgery to repair my retina. Although shell shocked I would like to thank Lisa at Lakeland Optical, the NHS & Barrow Hospital for their amazingly quick & kind response & treatment especially on its 70th Birthday.

Amazing Service!
My GP referred me to Lakeland Optical after I had been suffering with a sore eye for 5 weeks . I was told there is now a FREE NHS SERVICE at Lakeland Optical. I was seen the next day, where I was greeted by Helen and taken in to see the optometrist Lisa Sariwee. Within one minute Lisa had diagnosed my problem, and then promptly assessed the whole eye very thoroughly, and referred me to see an eye specialist. Fantastic service, very pleased and I will definitely be coming here for my next eye examination!
